What is Cakes For Kids?
Cakes for Kids is a fun opportunity for church and school communities across the state to join together and make a difference in the lives of children battling serious illnesses. All through the year, Sunday school classes, youth groups, PTAs, and faith communities will tie on their aprons and whip up some goodies as a way to support the nonprofit organization Arts For Life. By organizing a Cakes for Kids bake sale at your church or school, you will enable hundreds of children to create, to discover, and to experience life fully even within the constraints of illness.
After all bake sales have taken place, Arts For Life will report back to our participating churches and schools on the impact of their efforts. We are excited to demonstrate the power of collaboration! Please consider joining us.
The Facts
What: Organize a bake sale at your church or school
When: Anytime in the spring, summer, or fall
Why: Bring creativity, joy, & inspiration to hundreds of young patients in NC and help demonstrate the power of collaboration.
How: Email AFL and let us know you’d like to participate and start getting your faith group, school community, or neighborhood excited!
